Well Lets get the ball rolling here.
Hello and good luck to this endeavor. Obviously my name is Donald. I am an attorney in North Carolina and a cradle to grave Catholic. I grew up in New York City and Long Island. I attended Catholic schools through college and went to a Baptist law school in the south. I can say that if I made it through three years of Baptists informing me that ‘one can not be a Catholic and a Christian at the same time’ and remain a Catholic I will always be a Catholic.
I have three children. My second daughter was born Last month (Jan. O6). She had a very sick heart and passed into eternity after a week and a few days. My interests include Philosophy (Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and St. Thomas Aquinas mostly). My favorite authors include the likes of C.S. Lewis, Chesterton, and Peter Kreeft. I also have interests in apologetics, politics, Eastern Orthodoxy and Church History (this is a new venture for me), baseball (YANKEES), hunting, and other shooting sports.

La Marraine de Cendrillon - March 6, 2006 01:37 PM (GMT)
Well,
I am a french lyric singer and with my friend we decided to do a website whose name is "La Marraine de Cendrillon" and whose function is to help people to prepare the music of their christians ceremonies (as marriage, baptism etc.).
And a friend of mine asked me to translate the part on the marriage, saying it would be very useful.
Though, I need some official english translation for any christian prayer I cannot find on the web.
La paix du Seigneur soit toujours avec vous

Greetings in the Name of Christ!
My name is Fr Joel, and I am a Charismatic Episcopal priest. For those of you who are not familiar with the Charismatic Episcopal Church, you may find more information at the website www.iccec.org. In brief, we are a very new Catholic Communion (not Protestant!), in no way affiliated or related to either ECUSA or the See of Canturbury, which seeks to reconverge the ancient "streams" of Sacrament, Evangelion, and Charism in all that we do.
On a personal note, I am married and expecting our ninth child this summer (God be praised!). By necessity I also must do some "tentmaking" as a computer programmer. I have a strong calling toward seeing the divisions in the Body of Christ be healed -- I am hoping that this forum will help me focus my prayers and actions. Other interests include (in no particular order) Orthodox theology, public speaking, reading, computers, games of all sorts, science fiction, theatre, music, and wrassling with the kids.

Fr. Joel,
Welcome to the forum! I went to seminary with a future priest of the ICCEC. He has a church in Kent, Ohio right now I believe. He used to work at Grace CEC in Circleville, OH, and I went down and visited the church with him a few times, so I know many Charismatic Episcopalians. Thanks for stopping by. It's a little slow here now, but like the ICCEC, we hope to grow more and more each year!

I am sorry to hear about your daughter but welcome. I too am relatively new to this site. I used to be with the CEC and but now I am moving Home to Rome this fall starting RCIA Classes. I am one of 12 Children 11 living. My little brother #12 passed after 5 hours and 10 minutes of being on this side of heaven. He received the sacrament of Baptism by Fr. Grant Sherk back in 1964. I will forget hime and I was only 5 years at the time. I remember his birthday November 25th every year. He would have been 42 come November of this Year. Blessing to all on this forum..
