Hi,
I'm Christoph from Austria, EUROPE. I'm new her.
So, let me tell you a little bit about me:
On October 15th 1977 I was born in Austria, Europe to a non practicing/non believing roman–catholic family.
After first communion I became an Altar Server in our parish church. From
that time on I became very much interested in the church and the faith. But because our parish was extremely liberal I never found Christ there.
In 1992 I got saved in Taizé, France. From that time on I was very active in the parish, orgainzing Taizé-prayer meetings and masses.
A year later I found out about the catholic charismatic renewal and the lutheran charismatic renewal and I started attending their events. I also got spirit filled.
My parish was not very excited, we only had a lay leader. So she asked to join a neighbor parish. Which I did. The pastor there knew the catholic charismatic renewal. He was involved in it in the 70ies. But left them, because they could not accept, that he was living with his girl-friend and his children. His Bishop accepted and tolareted it.
During the same time I started attending a small independent charismatic church. Through that church I met the Pastor of a "Word of Faith" church (Kenneth Hagin). I joined that church and I'm still a Member today.
From 1996-98 I attended RHEMA Bible Training Center Austria. I am a RHEMA Graduate. In 1996 it also started, that I became very anti-catholic. But that was not
the fault of Rhema. I just read every anti-catholic book that I could find.
I believed, that the Pope is the Anti-Christ and that the roman church is
the whore of Babylon. I was a little bit extreme. In 1998 I left the
catholic church.
In 1999 I attend the “School for Harvesters” in Honduras, C.A., started by
Rev. Jerry and Marilyn O’Dell. Jerry O’Dell was for 17 years Dr. T.L.
Osborns associate Evangelist. This school has a very strong focus on
missions, evangelism and mass miracle crusading.
Jerry O'Dell does mass miracles crusades in India, Pakistan and the United Arabe Emirates.
After returning to Austria at the end of 1999, I became a regular teacher
at RHEMA Bible Training Center Austria and another Bible School in Vienna.
In 2001 I became the Associate Pastor of Metro Church Tulsa and the Dean
of “PriorityONE – School of Faith, Evangelism and Miracles”, both started Rev. David A. Horton of Tulsa,
While we where living in Tulsa, a very strong hunger for liturgical worship
began to grow in me. I started to attend the afternoon service in the
catholic cathedral. But now I had a problem with my head. Because my head told me, that all that is idolatry.
I had a ORU library card, since I was several times at the "Holy Spirit Research Center", an awesome pentecostal/healing revival collection. They also have a great theological library. So I got tons of books on church history of the first 3 centuries and books on liturgy. And I found out that many things I believed about the roman church where wrong.
I also remembered that some years ago, my Pastor showed me a CHARISMA article about charismatics using liturgy and vestments. So I began to search the internet for
charismatic/liturgical services and churches. This is when I found out about
the convergence movement and the CEEC and the ICCEC. The CEEC had a house church in Tulsa which I started to attend.
During the later part of that year I started reading “Convergence” books and
I also started reading the Apostolic Fathers and a lot of books on liturgy.
Because one of the main financers of the Horton Ministries suddenly died and did not get a visa, I moved back to Austria, Europe.
During the next 3 years I looked at the CEC and the CEEC. The CEC really appealed to me because the looked so much roman. But I felt led to join the CEEC at some point. I felt peace there and also a former LONG-time associate of Dr. T.L. Osborn is a Bishop in the CEEC and I already knew them from Tulsa.
In Austria I started pastoring a black congregation under a austrian word of faith Pastor in Vienna. I was also the Dean of the smal Bible School this Church had.
In January 2004 I started travelling with the healing Evangelist Rev. Billy
B. Smith of Fort Worth, TX., as his translator. We where holding miracle services in
Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, Hungary, Canada and Turkey.
While I was with Billy Smith in Canada I was ordained a Deacon in the CEEC.
Also while travelling with Billy I met my wonderful wife Jenny, the abbot of a real Knights-Templar monastery and the imperial Family of Austria, The Family of Habsburg, which invited Billy and me to Rome, to attend the beatification of the last emperor of Austria.
On the 18th of November 2007 on the Isle of Capri, Italy, I was ordained to the holy Priesthood of Christ by the Rt. Rev. Archbishop Robert L. Wise, presiding Bishop of the CEEC.
I'm still teaching at RHEMA Austria and another Bible School in Vienna. My wife is being trained to become a roman catholic religion teacher for public schools. She will finish her studies next year.
By next year I will also start to plant a church here.
I believe in the One, Holy, Apostolic and Catholic Church. I have a very catholic mindset, but would like to involve roman-catholic, orthodox, Pentecostal/charismatic/ word of faith and Evangelical/Baptist elements in my church and ministry.
Please feel free to ask, if you have any questions.
Greetings from Austria!
God bless,
+ Christoph
